The earcups are made from thermo-ash, a specialized form of ash that undergoes high-temperature treatment. This process imparts unique properties—such as enhanced strength and improved resistance to deformation and moisture.
The creation of thermo-ash starts with carefully selected ash trunks. The wood is cut into blanks and placed in specialized furnaces, where steam and high temperatures are applied. Once cooled, this treatment is repeated, resulting in a material with enhanced properties.
Thermo-ash stands out for its distinct properties and visually appealing look. Additionally, its natural resistance to fungi and insects makes it especially valuable for decorative and finishing applications.
Please note: When certain types of wood or specialized processing methods are used—particularly thermally modified ash wood—you may initially notice a burnt wood aroma. This scent is perfectly normal for these processes and will naturally fade over time. It poses no harm, contains no tobacco smoke or toxic chemicals, and is entirely safe.
